Strategic Organizational Performance Improvement 


After several years of successfully working on large, fast and uncertain projects, we made a strategic decision to focus on self performing infrastructure construction companies rather than the individual projects of global EPC contractors. That decision was motivated by our desire to have a positive impact on the industry as a whole and not just an impressive collection of large projects. We believe very strongly that only exceptionally competent self performing contractors will bring the needed improvements to the industry as a whole as their performance leaves their competitors no choice but to improve their performance or loose market share.  Thus, we are very selective in the clients we choose to work with as their performance improvement and eventual recognized success is key to our long range goal of being part of an industry wide improvement of the work at the crew level.


Using the concepts in leading major change initiatives as proposed by John Kotter in his books on Leading Change, the strategic planning and management concepts as proposed by Kaplan and Norton in their work on the Balanced Score Card, the concepts of experiential learning as described by Leonard and Swap in Deep Smarts, and the Construction Project Production System that we have developed, Construction Concepts provides strategic organizational performance improvement services to a handful of select contractors as they strive to achieve operational excellence and become truly respected leaders in their markets.
